A. Schulman and the polypropylene producer National Petrochemical Industrial Company (NATPET), have built a polyolefin-compounding plant based on the latest state-of-the-art technology, safety regulations and certification standards. Since August 2017, the new facility has started to produce Polyfort® and Polyflam® PP compounds.

From the start, all processes will be aligned with the standards of IATF 16949 and ISO9001:2015, 14001 and 18001.

The production facility is designed for an annual polypropylene-compounding capacity of up to 100,000 tons and is located on NATPET’s polypropylene polymerization site in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. This setup ensures efficiency along the entire value chain, from propane gas to customer-specific Polyfort® and Polyflam® compounds.

The portfolio includes colored, mineral-filled, glass fiber-reinforced, hybrid-filled PP homo- and PP copolymer compounds as well as impact-modified, low-emission grades for automotive interiors and flame retardant V2, V0 GWFI- and 5VA UL-listed grades.

The new production site offers each partner’s expertise and know-how:
